Queen Daenerys Targaryen, also known as Dany and Daenerys Stormborn Of House Targaryen or Daenerys Of House Targaryen, First Of Her Name, Breaker Of Chains and Mother Of Dragons is the younger sister of Rhaegar Targaryen and Viserys Targaryen, the paternal aunt of Jon Snow, and the youngest child of King Aerys II Targaryen and Queen Rhaella Targaryen, who were both ousted from the Iron Throne during Robert Baratheon's rebellion.

Daenerys is the only daughter and youngest child of King Aerys II Targaryen, the "Mad King", and his sister-wife, Rhaella. Her father died during the Sack of King's Landing, before she was even born. The usurper Robert Baratheon installed himself as king, having defeated Aerys in the conquest known as Robert's Rebellion. Her pregnant mother and brother Viserys, fled to the island of Dragonstone, the ancestral home of House Targaryen, to escape Robert. Daenerys's brother Rhaegar Targaryen was killed in the war by Robert. The forces of House Lannister murdered Rhaegar's wife, Elia Martell, and their children, Rhaenys and Aegon, during the Sack of King's Landing.

Meeting Shawn

In 1BBY Daenerys was introduced to a strange young man who claimed to be from another world and represent an Empire along with its Emperor.

Her relations with Shawn are more of aquatinted rather than close like those of Tyrion Lannister. She has admitted to trust Shawn though but is unsure of his superiors who seem to favor Cersei

her largest dragon Drogon takes a liking to the young man who she hopes will prove his worth to her. But Shawn is not of Valyrian ancestry so his ability to tame him along with Rhaegal and Viserion without being burnt alive is unknown to her but impresses her.

She even permits him to sit on her War council meetings.
